From the Principal

Gordonstoun is sometimes described as a movement rather than a school, and there are various aspects of life here beyond the general curriculum that give it its special and distinctive character. Though still relatively young, it has enjoyed a rich and varied existence since its foundation in 1934, yet the School has not so far produced a book which provides an all-round picture of its history and philosophy while also highlighting the personal experiences of its alumni. The 75th anniversary of the founding of Gordonstoun seems a good time to do so.

To look back on its development and to celebrate the continued vibrancy of Gordonstoun, the School has commissioned a high-quality, full-colour book, whose production will be overseen and coordinated by Third Millennium Publishing. There is, of course, a wealth of information to include, but what will bring it to life is your participation.

In order to underwrite the costs of the book, we need a minimum number of advance copies. Those who subscribe in advance will have the opportunity for their names (or names nominated by them) to be listed in the book as an enduring record of their links with the School. They will also benefit from receiving the book at a substantially discounted price.
